Huiwen and Kenneth who left their careers in the working world to build on their love for ceramics. After undertaking a month long stay-in studio program in the town of Tajimi, Japan (a town famous for pottery), Huiwen discovered her hidden passion for ceramic sculpting. Together with husband Kenneth, they took a leap of faith and decided to practice pottery full-time. The art of creating unique vessels out of clay holds a special place in their hearts as it reminds them of God as their Creator. Through sculpting pottery, they are able to share their life journey and make a difference in the local community by donating 20% of their profits to the local charity Mercy Centre, an organisation which aims to assist the homeless in Singapore. Interestingly, at Studio Asobi, there are introductory ceramics workshop hosted by the lovely couple for those would love to give a shot at pottery making.
